Reporting to the Senior HR Recruiting Specialist the Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in the day to day support of the recruitment and on boarding process for staff, adjunct faculty, and clinical examiners. This position performs a variety of functions such as maintaining job postings, assisting with interview setup, communications with candidates and assisting new hires with all of the paperwork and preparation required for them to start. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, positive communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines, and the ability to form strong working relationships with staff across the College.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Maintain job postings through various online sources (e.g. Higher Education jobs, LinkedIn, Excelsior College website, etc.); as well as on the College’s HRIS (Ulti-Pro).
•Manage recruiting-related items (position descriptions, job posting template folders, interview questions, interview agendas, etc.).
•Coordinate onsite interviews, including: scheduling, greeting candidates, gathering interview notes and following-up with candidates.
•Completing reference and background checks for candidates.
•Onboard new hires into our systems, including document uploading.
•Collaborate with the team to offer suggestions for new promotional items.
•Participate in and assist with revamping staff training as needed; including helping with the delivery of new hire orientation.
•Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of recruiting and on boarding.
•Willingness to complete other recruiting/HR tasks, as assigned (including backing up other HR staff, assisting with general HR administrative tasks, etc.).
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field;
•Minimum of 1-2 years of recruitment, human resources or other related experience in a professional setting;
•Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong work ethic.
•Customer service focus and desire to assist others.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with HR systems preferred.
