The Executive Director for Clinical Practice Experiences is responsible for development of new clinical practice sites and recruitment of clinical faculty in the School of Nursing. This individual must have a strong organizational and communication skills and an in-depth understanding of the regulatory requirements related to nursing licensure and postsecondary distance education. The Executive Director for Clinical Practice Experiences will hold registered nurse licensure and have experience with faculty recruitment and establishing long-term relationships with clinical facilities for the purpose of providing nursing student clinical practice experiences. This position requires frequent travel. The roles and responsibilities fall into the following categories:
• Establishing Clinical practice experience sites
• Clinical faculty recruitment
• Regulatory compliance
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishing Clinical Practice Experience Sites:
•Collaborate with School of Nursing leadership to establish and maintain contractual relationships with clinical facilities for the purpose of providing educational experiences for nursing students.
•Collaborate with School of Nursing leadership and Analytics and Decision Support department to make evidence-based decisions and forecasting demand for clinical practice experience sites.
•Build and maintain relationships with leadership at current and prospective clinical sites.
•Develop standardized information and presentations for prospective clinical facilities.
•Coordinate with School of Nursing leadership team, faculty and clinical site leadership in developing new clinical practice learning sites.
•Create and maintain a database of prospective clinical sites (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.).
•Communicate regularly with College leadership regarding the current status of clinical practice sites.
•Other duties and projects as assigned.
Clinical Faculty Recruitment:
•Coordinate with School of Nursing leadership, faculty and Human Resources for onboarding and orientation of new clinical faculty.
•Communicate regularly with College leadership regarding status of clinical faculty staffing and recruitment.
•Maintain effective professional relationships with outside organizations and social media presence as a resource for recruiting qualified faculty.
•Work with talent acquisition team to source applicants through various methods including advertising, recruiters, job sites, career fairs, and online platforms.
•Attend, conduct and organize recruitment events and job fairs.
•Review resumes and qualifications to determine suitability of candidates.
•Conduct interviews with candidates to evaluate communication skills, clinical and teaching competence, and suitability for clinical teaching role.
•Stay current with interviewing practices, including diversity and inclusion initiatives.
•Coordinate activities with School of Nursing leadership and the General Counsel to maintain regulatory compliance with development and maintenance of all clinical practice sites.
•Coordinate with School of Nursing leadership, General Counsel and Human Resources to maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance with recruitment and hiring of qualified clinical faculty.
•Communicate regularly with College leadership regarding ongoing efforts to remain in compliance with regional and specialty accreditation standards and individual state higher education authorities, boards of nursing and NC-SARA requirements.
• Registered Nurse licensure and a master’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution required. A doctorate from a regionally accredited educational institution is preferred. Advanced degrees in nursing or business are acceptable.
• Professional experience working in a regulatory/accreditation environment.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with recruiting faculty and/or staff.
• 3-5 years’ experience in business development preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
