Academic Program Coordinator: Excelsior College (Albany, NY) seeks an Academic Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Dean, the Academic Program Coordinator works in close collaboration with the Associate Deans and Faculty Program Directors (FPDs) to provide administrative support in all matters that foster excellent quality of academic program and online courses, and the delivery of instruction by instructional faculty. This individual assists FPDs in overseeing the collection of data to evaluate program, course and assessment effectiveness. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Course Quality: Ensure consistency and compliance of Quality Matters and Accessibility standards within the courses; Assist data-driven planning of course revisions by providing data points from course review process and end of term evaluation; Manage course development and major revision process with C4L and/or third party vendors; Participate in ongoing evaluation and quality improvement of course design; Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the school; Support assessment and adoption of innovative instructional technology and educational tools, including Open Educational Resources (OER) and 3rd party tools; Support content review of textbook edition updates. Instructional Quality: Maintain the evaluation tool for instructional quality (aka RYG rubric or Faculty IQ tool); Manage the instructional quality audit process; Provide training, communication, and webinars for instructional faculty; Collect and analyze data from instructional quality evaluation process to plan faculty development opportunities; Collaborate with FPDs and Associate Deans to develop and deliver faculty development webinars; Assist faculty recruitment process (e.g., review curriculum vitae to identify strong candidates for adjunct faculty positions, and work within the hiring management system (e.g., UltiPro) to facilitate the adjunct faculty hiring process); Support FPD’s onboarding and early success endeavors for new faculty; Academic Quality: Support specialized accreditation process; Support maintenance of alignment of programmatic outcomes and assessment plans; Ensure consistency of rubrics development and maintenance process. Other responsibilities: Participate in School of Undergraduate Studies and College-wide committees and activities to support the College’s strategic plan; Engage in quality improvement and student satisfaction and retention initiatives; Assist Associate Deans on student appeals and academic integrity issues. Requirements: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology or related field and 1 year of experience in instructional design and instructional/educational technology.
